Join this well known multi-national organisation who are a leading supplier into the construction industry as their National Safety Systems and Reporting Manager, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring a strong safety culture across their operations in Australia and New Zealand.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a mature SHE management systems. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, enhancing safety performance reporting, and driving best practices across the business. Your work will contribute directly to fostering a positive safety culture and ensuring the wellbeing of their employees.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & System Development

  • Lead the Safety function in system development, implementation, and continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate the creation of core safety and environmental regulatory guidance materials, processes, templates, and compliance system tools.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement within the SHE compliance management system.
  • Monitor and analyse safety performance data to identify best practices and drive improvements.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory bodies, to enhance SHE compliance systems.
  • Drive implementation of global SHE initiatives and ensure alignment with local operations.
Compliance System Management
  • Oversee the quality and effectiveness of SHE compliance system improvements.
  • Maintain document control processes, including the development, distribution, and review of SHE documents.
  • Ensure legal compliance by incorporating legislative updates into SHE management systems.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Ensure effective communication of SHE initiatives, updates, and compliance requirements across the business.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices through safety alerts, lessons learned, and training materials.
  • Foster strong relationships with business unit leaders, SHE teams, and external service providers to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support the development of SHE training programs to address national and role-specific needs.
  • Collaborate with HR and Talent Management teams to ensure training materials are fit for purpose and user-friendly.
  • Promote ongoing development of SHE personnel by engaging them in key projects and initiatives.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Extensive experience in Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) system management, preferably at a national level.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven experience in developing, implementing, and improving SHE management systems and reporting structures.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian and New Zealand SHE legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills to develop clear and effective policies, procedures, and training materials.
